Enjoy exclusive use of a luxurious stately home packed full of character and history; Lady Elizabeth’s House boasts as much character as any English castle and as much history as any royal home. Elegant interiors, breathtaking architecture and beautiful gardens set the scene for a unique and special stay. Designed and built in 1671 by Lady Elizabeth Wilbraham, this large regal mansion is the perfect venue for a grand country house party, a family reunion, a corporate getaway or a lavish wedding.

Inside

  • Style: A sumptuous, regal interior combining architectural grandeur with many fantastic collections of fine art, tapestries and porcelain
  • Bedrooms: 28 bedrooms (24 doubles and 4 singles) boast individual style and the character of a 17th century stately home. Each has its own bathroom (ensuite or private) and many offer breathtaking views, particularly of the Capability Brown parkland.
  • For relaxation: Lose yourself in the Victorian Library furnished with over 3,000 books; relax by the lake
  • For recreation: Billiards room, croquet lawn and over 1,00 acres of parkland in which to enjoy a range of activities from falconry to helicopter rides and quad treks. The grounds are an adventure playground for children, with a miniature railway, Woodland Adventure playground and a Yew Hedge Maze to explore.

Outside

The grounds of Lady Elizabeth’s House combine acres of natural beauty with three centuries of garden design. Enjoy the magnificent gardens and up to 1,000 acres of parkland, whether you choose to go walking, fishing, or take a garden tour. For the more adventurous, ballooning, quad trekking, off-roading and a host of other activities can be organised.

Food and wine

  • In-house cuisine: The house is available on a fully-catered basis only. Dine on culinary delights whilst surrounded by paintings by renowned artists such as Sir Anthony Van Dyck. Menus are compiled using the finest ingredients purchased, where possible, either locally or regionally, on a daily basis. All food is homemade and prepared by in-house chefs.
  • Eating out: There are numerous country pubs and bistros in the area where you can sample much more ‘casual’ cuisine. The nearest Michelin-starred restaurants are either in Birmingham or Ludlow (both about 40-minutes away)
